The High Court has full control and power to determine all matters and questions whether of law or fact, civil or criminal. Its jurisdiction also extends to the question of the validity of any law having regard to the constitution. The composition of the High Court consists of the President and thirty-six ordinary judges. The Chief Justice, the President of the Court of Appeal, and the President of the Circuit Court are, by virtue of their office, additional judges of the High Court.

Kerala High Court Has ordered to State Ensure complaint boxes are installed in all schools. A division bench of Chief Justice S Manikumar and Justice Shaji P Chaly issued the order noting that circulars issued by the Government in this regard had not been implemented in all schools. 

High Court Orders for education Dept to introduce the complaint box in all Kerala schools. According to the High Court Orders for Education Dept, Students can anonymously leave their complaints in the complaint boxes. The Kerala High Court has requested the Secretary to the Government, Government of Kerala, General Education Office, and the Director of General essential instruction, Thiruvananthapuram, to issue enlightening for satisfactory supervision and usage of High Court Orders for Education Dept issued with respect to the setting up of complaint boxes/drop boxes in schools.
